The Cartoon Walk...

This is just a series of characters we discovered on our way home from the park and riverside in BA... wish we had photographed them all!

"The Cartoon Walk honors the humor, creativity and self-criticism that distinguish our artists worldwide. These ten beloved characters serve as a mirror to reflect ourselves and identify, uniting generations of Argentines.

It shall consist of ten representative figures of our cartoon, starting with sculpture of Mafalda, which is already located at the corner of Defensa and Chile. The location of the other characters will be completed throughout the year.

The integrated Mafalda, Isidoro Canyons, Lanky, Matias, Don Fulgencio, Gaturro, the Divito Girls, Crazy Chavez and PatrouzĂș Clemente."

Mafalda is a cartoon girl from the 60s who relected the Argentian middle class and progressive youth, and concerns about world peace and humanity - she is everywhere in BA, especially on souvenir t-shirts...
