A great day today. Kim had her sunbent sunglasses straightened, bought a pàir of flipflops and we went swimming with sealions.
Wetsuited up, we were motored out to sea where the little blighters were sunbathing on the shore, so we all eight of us jumped in the sea and called on them to play.
They´re bigger than they look, but very lithe in the water, obviously, and much more beautiful than when lying around looking like useless sacks of coal,. They ran rings around us for an hour or so, probably wondering who the weirdos in the black rubber were, before we jumped back in the boat, very happy to have shared some time with such wonderful creatures.
We didn´t take up the offer of photos, so allow your imagination to picture Kim and me splashing around in the deep end, trying to remain graceful.
A celebratory beer afterwards with our new friend, a beautifully crazy lady called Samantha, who seems to have spent most of her life doing exciting things around the globe after decamping from Aylesbury for San Francisco. A vivid and funny resume of her chequered career followed, then we all went home extremely happy after such a great day.
We`re meeting lots of lovely people on our travels, mainly French and Brazilian at the moment.

Hola Nobles. It's me Wend on Dave's log in I think? Anyway looks like you're having a lush time. So much so we've already booked your Santiago to Ushuaia trip. 7th December - thanks for the inspiration. News from here is first some sad news; Tony Benn died today. Happy news; seems winter is over. Sunshine, trees in bud and birds in a high state of activity. We're all off to Matt's Birthday do tomorrow so it'll be nice to see everyone. Boring news; we went to Ikea to buy a kitchen and hope to start the revamp in May. Exciting news; we're going to see Franz Ferdinand tonight at The Roundhouse courtesy of good old Isla - we're on Alex Kopranos's guest list. I just hope there's someone close by to hear us when we let them know at the door. Grandad off to Fulham tomorrow with the lads - old school style Juzz, Perry and Mal. Other big surprise news and a shock to everyone; Ughetta is having a baby. Her and Tilman very happy about it. Fatty won 700 quid on the horses at Cheltenham this week despite all the tips that he gave Dave coming to nowt. Moving house news; James and Rich are moving to Ibiza in a couple of weeks - James's work will let him work remotely and Rich is taking a "sabbatical". Think that's all the main headlines. Will keep you posted on other news in future updates. Enjoying the blog - keep up the good work. Big love to you both. Jobbo xx
